How to Make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Blondies

Step 1 – Get the Oven and Baking Pan Ready

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside.

Step 2 – Mix the Dry Ingredients

In one mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, spices, salt, and baking soda. Whisk the dry ingredients together and set aside.

In a second mixing bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Next, add the eggs and vanilla. Mix the ingredients. Then add the pumpkin and stir.

Stir the batter a few times and scrape the batter into the prepared baking dish. Smooth the batter out with a rubber spatula.

Bake the blondies for 35 to 40 minutes. To test for doneness, you should stick a toothpick into the center. You don’t want to overbake these, so when only a few crumbs cling to the toothpick, pull the pan out of the oven and let it cool on the counter for about 30 to 45 minutes before cutting into squares.
